KNIFE-WIELDING robbers fled with about £1,700 in cash from a Lindley shop.

The two men threatened two staff members at Jacksons convenience store on Acre Street with large kitchen knives.

They got away with cigarettes as well as cash in the raid at about 10.25pm on Friday, but details were released only yesterday.

Police have appealed for help to track the pair down.

Both were white and aged about 18 to 20. One was about 6ft 1in tall, skinny and wearing a black scarf over his face, a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and white gloves. He was carrying a black drawstring bag.

The other was spotty, of average build and had a shaved head. He was wearing a black ski mask, black bottoms and a black hooded top with a red logo.
