A BETTING office manager was robbed at knifepoint.
The 62-year-old man had just locked up the Jack Pearson betting office on Damside at the bottom of Newsome and met his 31-year-old son outside at 6.30pm on Saturday when they were confronted by two masked raiders.
One grappled with the manager and snatched the cash bag while his accomplice threatened the son with a knife.
The robbers ran down an alleyway towards Manor Street.
Both wore balaclavas.
The knifeman is African-Caribbean and slim. He wore a dark hooded top and a balaclava.
His accomplice is 6ft and slightly built.
Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees Police intelligence unit, said: "Did anyone see the thieves hanging around outside the office before the robbery or escaping afterwards?
"Where did they go once they reached Manor Street. Did anyone see them get into a car?"
