A 57-YEAR-OLD pub landlord is seriously ill in hospital after an incident outside his pub.
The landlord of the Lord Nelson on Cross Bank Road, Batley, suffered serious head injuries at 1am on Monday.
A 35-year-old man and a 17-year-old youth were arrested in connection with the incident and were questioned at Dewsbury police station. They have both been charged with wounding and were appearing before Dewsbury magistrates today.
The landlord, who has not been named, is in Dewsbury District Hospital.
His condition has been described as stable.
