A POPULAR Huddersfield music club is saying `bye for now' today.
The Acoustic Club will host its last gig at Abrahams on Westgate at 8pm.
The club was set up three and a half years ago.
Every Tuesday, acoustic artists would turn up and get chance to play their own individual music to an appreciative crowd of fellow musicians.
More than 400 artists have performed music, songs and poetry with the club.
The club, set up by Stevo Houghton, is having to close temporarily because its current base Abraham's will shut in the New Year.
Stevo, who combines the club with his work at Beaumont Street Studios, said it would be the end of an era.
He said artists who had been part of the club's past would return to help give it a proper send-off.
For £3, visitors will see 42 artists perform over three hours tonight.
Stevo said: "It'll be a mad night, with loads of the best performers from the Acoustic Club, a real party atmosphere and a celebration of the music we make here in Huddersfield.
Stevo hopes to find a new home for the club soon.
In the meantime, regular acoustic gigs will be held at the Media Centre bar on Northumberland Street.
