A woman has been given a community order after she assaulted two people in a Huddersfield pub.

Laura Marie Dollive had gone to the Lockwood pub with her brother James. Initially all was well but they became increasingly aggressive.

Stephanie Hancock prosecuting told Leeds Crown Court when a glass was thrown, it was not known by whom, the landlord asked them to leave.

When her brother refused, the landlord and two other customers, one of them Daniel Randall began to escort him out and it was at that stage that Dollive slapped Mr Randall across the face.

Her brother was taken out but Dollive then returned to sit at the bar where she exchanged words with Abbie Slark. Miss Hancock said Dollive who had a glass in her hand then got up and threw it towards the other woman.

It was not known if it caught her but the contents went over her and it would have been a glancing blow as the glass was deflected towards a male nearby before it smashed on the floor.

Dollive was arrested in May after being identified from the footage and eventually admitted it had been an unprovoked assault.

Stephen Wood representing Dollive said she was keen to address her problems and to accept help.

Dollive, 26 of Edale Avenue, Newsome, Huddersfield admitted two charges of common assault and was given a 12 month community order with a six month alcohol treatment requirement and 10 rehabilitation activity days. She was also ordered to pay the £900 criminal courts charge.
