A HUDDERSFIELD man has been honoured for his life-saving blood donations.

Robert McTiffin was one of a number of people to receive awards from the National Blood Service.

All had given at least 75 pints of blood.

Mr McTiffin - who is pictured (far right) with other award winners - is the managing director of Chem-Dry Huddersfield, the Longwood company behind the BBC Disaster Masters series.

He said: "There's always a huge demand for blood. Giving it gives you a feelgood factor, that you are doing great things, literally saving lives."
