A VANDAL went on an overnight tyre-slashing spree in Golcar.
At least 12 cars were damaged in incidents on several streets between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Police are appealing for information after reports from residents on Lime Grove, Station Road, Long Croft Street, Titanic Mills,Cherry Tree Close and Birch Grove.
They said there had been 12 reported incidents of tyres being damaged with a screwdriver or similar tool.
Yvonne Smith, of Long Croft Street, and her husband Michael are facing a bill of more than £150 to replace tyres on their Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Yvonne said: “It’s just so mindless.
“What do they get out of it?
“Things are hard enough at the moment as it is, without having to pay out money for something that is just so pointless.”
