LEEDS is Britain's third most burglary-prone city, according to insurance figures.
Residents in the city were 65% more likely to make a claim for household theft than the national average, insurance company Endsleigh said.
The city had the third highest level of burglaries, behind Nottingham and Hull.
Guildford came out as the safest town in terms of household theft, followed by Coventry and Edinburgh.
However, cities with the highest risk were making above average improvements in police and community initiatives - such as neighbourhood warden schemes, said Ends- leigh spokesman Tim Larden.
