DOES your version of a healthy appetite extend to a 72oz steak?

If so, make your way to the former Great Western pub near Standedge, Marsden.

And there's a bonus - if you eat the huge steak in under an hour, the bill is on the house!

And that's quite a saving on the meaty price of £35.

Since opening last week as Gilligan's Restaurant owner Lee Riley said he had had a few inquiries about the steak - but no-one has yet accepted the challenge.

He added: "It really is humungous! It's so big we firstly have to cook it in the oven as a roast, then chargrill it."

The huge slab of meat comes with chips and salad.

Mr Riley, a former building worker from Brighouse, said: "I decided to buy this place after I spent some time in New York in January, where I began to really appreciate a good-sized, good- quality steak.

"When I returned I found there were very few places in this country where you could get one.

"So I realised there was a niche for good-quality steak and we now give people what is lacking in the market."

The restaurant has a Western theme, with rodeo saddles and totem poles as part of the décor.
