A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Lindley Moor Road this morning.
The A643, which runs between Ainley Top roundabout and the M62 Junction 23 rounabout at Mount, was closed after the crash at 10.53am.
The biker, who was riding a blue Kawasaki, was in collision with a white flatbed Ford Transit.
A team from the Fire Service freed the trapped motorcyclist and he was treated by ambulance staff.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to take the biker to hospital.
The road is expected to be closed for some time.
