LINTHWAITE Band was quite literally the centrepiece during a glorious summer’s day in Norman Park.
The Birkby park has its own support group called The Friends Of Beaumont Park and the band was there on Saturday as part of Kirklees Council’s Brass in the Park summer programme.
The natural amphitheatre of Norman Park provided the perfect setting for a wonderful afternoon of music.
The Friends of Norman Park were on hand to provide refreshments, as well as information on our upcoming autumn events programme.
First up is a social evening at the Slubbers Arms on Halifax Old Road in Birkby at 8.30pm on Wednesday, September 21. Everyone is welcome.
On Saturday, September 24, there will be a litter pick in the park from 2pm to 3pm.
