THE first of three free music concerts will be hosted in Greenhead Park on Saturday.
The ‘Listen to the Music’ events will run every Saturday until July 6, and will include a variety of groups from music centres run by Kirklees Music school and various school groups.
The events are being organised by the Friends of Greenhead Park together with Kirklees Music School.
Performances at this Saturday’s event (June 22) will include Cleckheaton Music Centre and St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Brass Players.
The performances will take place on the refurbished bandstand each Saturday afternoon from 2-4pm.
A collection will be taken in support of Gift of Music, a bursary scheme run by Kirklees Music School.
