A LIVERSEDGE woman has admitted driving three times over the limit.

Katherine Binks, 50, of Birchwood Close, was stopped by police on November 17, after her car rolled back into the vehicle while waiting in traffic in Union Road, Heckmondwike.

Officers carried out a road side breath test which was over the limit and she was taken to the police station where another reading showed 109 microgrammes in 100ml of breath – the legal limit is 35.

The court heard Binks had drank half a bottle of vodka the night before the offence and then started drinking the following morning when she received a letter about an employment dispute.

She admitted she had an alcohol problem and had sought help from Lifeline before yesterday’s hearing at Kirklees Magistrates Court.

It was stated that Binks had a previous offence for drink driving in 2006.

Magistrates adjourned the case for pre sentence reports.
