WHEN the Ultimate Rollercoaster opened at Lightwater Valley in North Yorkshire 20 years ago, 12-year-old Huddersfield girl Liz Ferguson won an Examiner competition to be one of the first to ride on it.

WHEN the Ultimate Rollercoaster opened at Lightwater Valley in North Yorkshire 20 years ago, 12-year-old Huddersfield girl Liz Ferguson won an Examiner competition to be one of the first to ride on it.

She is pictured here with boxer Frank Bruno alongside friends and family at the theme park in July 1991.

To mark the rollercoaster’s 20th anniversary, Lightwater Valley is anxious to get back in contact with Liz to invite her back to the park.
