It was “all aboard the Love Bus””.

Newlyweds Rick and Katie Moynihan are such loyal megabus.com fans that they involved the budget coach operator in their wedding day.

At their wedding at the weekend, the Marsden couple used a megabus.com vehicle to transport wedding guests to their wedding and reception venues.

The couple, who got married on Saturday at Inverarity Church, Forfar, had spent two years travelling every weekend to see each other between their bases in Dundee and Manchester using the intercity travel provider.

The pair started dating in 2008 when they both lived in Dundee, but soon after Katie, who grew up in Brechin, Angus was promoted and moved to Manchester. To keep their relationship alive they committed to visiting each other as often as possible.

Two years later, Rick, originally from Birkdale near Southport, also moved to Manchester and the couple moved in together, making a new home in Marsden.

The love story continued and the couple and more than 150 guests celebrated their special day in Forfar at the weekend.

They approached the firm to ask if they could hire a vehicle to transport their guests around and were delighted when the company donated the coach free of charge for the day, to transport guests from the hotel, to the church and to the reception venue.

Katie said: “Megabus.com has been a huge part of our relationship. Whenever one drives past us we smile and remember all our travel stories, the people we met on it and especially how easy this company made the long distance for us. All of our friends and family know that we spent a huge chunk of our relationship travelling on the bus just to be together. The arrival of the bus at the wedding made them all laugh at the sentiment when it arrived to pick them up!”
