MOTORISTS faced long tailbacks on Saturday afternoon after a lorry blocked a busy Huddersfield road.
The wagon lost its load at Westbourne Road, Marsh, near Gledholt roundabout at about 1pm.
The road, a major route to the M62 from the town centre, was closed for more than four hours. Diversions were put in place by police.
Queues trailed back nearly a mile to Huddersfield ring road as lifting equipment was used to remove the vehicle.
The lorry's trailer slipped out from underneath the load as it negotiated the busy roundabout.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
