Several fire crews were sent to the scene after a blaze scare in a former mill that has been transformed into flats.

A pan had been left on the oven at the apartments on Queen Street South at around 4pm yesterday.

A crew from Huddersfield Fire Station tackled the fire in the apartment above the Ox and Bone restaurant on Queen Street South.

There are several flats there which is why so many engines were sent.

The fire was described as minor with some smoke damage caused to the kitchen.
