A LORRY got hopelessly stuck in a Longwood street.
The lorry driver was delivering an empty trailer to Longwood firm Eldon Electricals and got stuck turning left at the junction of Church Street and Dale Street at 3.30pm yesterday, damaging a lamp-post.
The lorry was freed about an hour later by a breakdown truck from Merlin Motors in Milnsbridge.
Pc Alan Broadbent, of Huddersfield police, said the lorry's drive axle had ended up suspended in the air.
