West Yorkshire Police are trying to reunite a black drawstring bag with its owner — after discovering a huge bag of cannabis inside.

Officers were handed the bag, found in the Milnsbridge area, by a member of the public, and found a large bag of the illegal drug inside it.

The West Yorkshire Police Kirklees Rural Facebook page then posted pictures of the bag in a tongue-in-cheek appeal to find the owner.

"We'd also like to have a word with them about the massive bag of cannabis that was inside the bag... Please do call us on 101 for a chat!"

Officers later shared a second picture of the cannabis, with household items alongside it for scale.

Somehow, we don't think the owner will be claiming the bag any time soon...
