OUR Examiner Christmas Wish postbag is bursting at the seams!
Lots of kind-hearted readers have nominated local people who deserve a special bit of Christmas cheer this year.
We've teamed up with Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table to play Santa Claus to children and adults who have been nominated by you, our readers.
Many have suffered heartache or loss in the last year, or may be bravely battling against illness or hardship.
A total of £2,000 has been put aside by the Round Table.
And we've already received lots of nominations of people you feel deserve a share.
A panel of judges is now sorting through the nominations to decide which worthy causes should share the cash.
Round Table chairman Alan Jones said he was delighted with the response to the Christmas Wish campaign.
He said: "We've got a pot of money and we're looking to brighten up some lives.
"We're looking to use the money in small lots and spread the cash as widely as possible."
Examiner Editor Roy Wright said the campaign was a great way in which the newspaper and the Round Table could link-up.
He said: "They want to cheer up as many folk as possible.
"It's a generous offer and we're delighted to be involved."
Over the next couple of weeks we hope to share some of the heartwarming stories from the deserving families who are to receive some extra festive cheer.
We will be contacting those who have been nominated to find out how they will use their windfall.
