STAFF at a Huddersfield law firm are celebrating a six-figure lottery win today.
A syndicate of 24 staff and partners at Eaton Smith won £117,000 in Saturday's National Lottery draw.
And the punters were just one number short of netting a £2m jackpot.
The £117,000 win means each member of the syndicate gets £4,875.
Partner Steve Pollitt, one of the lucky winners, said: "There is a degree of jollity that you don't generally get on a Monday morning.
"One or two people have been whooping and jumping up and down!"
He added: "Some of the syndicate members were watching the draw.
"We had five numbers and the bonus ball. If we had got the sixth number - 14 - we would have won £2m, but that's how it goes."
Mr Pollitt said the syndicate members had already agreed how to spend some of their winnings.
Forty-five employees at the High Street firm who missed out on the windfall will be treated to a slap-up lunch.
