Huddersfield's Max Morley has won ITV 2's Love Island gameshow.

The 22-year-old former New College student won the big prize on the show but only after producers threw in a final twist.

He and partner Jessica Hayes, a 22-year-old glamour model from Gloucester, had to choose between love or money.

If both of them chose love then they split the money, if one chose money but the other love then the money picker would win the entire £50k.

But if both chose money then neither of them would win the cash on the show.

Despite Jessica saying she was confused by the twist, the pair both chose 'love' and split the money between them.

Max admitted: "We were never going to take the money."

Max, of Holmfirth, is a professional cricketer and former player for Durham County Cricket Club, after starting his career at Holmfirth.

He plays football for Holmbridge, as does brother Jake, but has had trials with the Manchester United Academy.
