THE WOMAN who fell from a M62 motorway bridge is in a critical but stable condition, police have said.
The woman was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary after falling onto the westbound carriageway of the M62, near junction 26 (Chain Bar) at around 10.17am today.
The lane in which she landed had already been closed for roadworks.
The M62 was closed in both directions so the Yorkshire Air Ambulance could land, but was reopened at around 12.30pm.
There are a delays of around 30 minutes in both directions as a result of the accident.
