This is the shocking moment a reckless driver risked his life on the M62 after making the unwise decision to pull straight in front of a HGV
The red Honda can be seen moving straight into the middle lane on the notorious motorway, before the truck slams on the brakes.
But unable to slow down in time, the HGV drives straight into the the hatchback, bumping the back.
Both vehicles pull over into the hard shoulder, before the car is once again bumped in the rear by the truck.
The dashcam footage, which was filmed near the M606 junction by driver Dave Walker and posted on Facebook by the HGV Dash Cam Footage page, has been shared nearly 2,000 times by users aghast at the shocking driving.
The Facebook page posted the video as a warning to other motorway users to remember that HGVs cannot slow as easily as smaller vehicles.
Mr Walker said he informed the police of the incident with no success.
He said: “I stayed in my cab to phone the police and calm down or I may have been a little rude.
“My boss cleared me of any blame and only needed a new number plate for my truck.”
People viewing the footage couldn’t contain their horror at the driving displayed by the Honda motorist.
Louise Thomas wrote that the car “got off lightly.”
Motorway drink-driver Philip Gabriel was the worst example a police officer had seen in 20 years She said: “Unfortunately this is a common occurrence.
“I don’t understand why car drivers aren’t taught about large vehicles.”
