LEGENDARY TV presenter and inventor Wilf Lunn is publishing his first Christmas book after collecting up his ‘leftovers’ from the past 20 years.
The former Examiner columnist, best-known for his madcap appearances on kids’ TV in the 1960s and 70s, has remained a popular figure ever since.
But anyone looking for cosy expressions of seasonal goodwill should look elsewhere. Many of them are enjoyably tart and range from Festive Friendly Fire, Santa being shot out of the sky to an old lady eating contest to “help out the DHSS.”
Wilf, 70, lives in Kirkburton with wife Elizabeth.
The book, Christmas Tree Cards, Arbres Macabre, is due to go on sale at Waterstone’s in a limited hardback edition.
