POLICE investigating the death of a cat which was allegedly thrown to a dog have arrested a young man.
The 19-year-old, from Huddersfield, has been questioned by police probing the incident on Eldon Road in Marsh at 3.30pm on Wednesday.
The brown cat, Tigger, was savaged and killed by a black and white terrier.
The incident was caught on a resident's CCTV system.
A police spokesman said: "I can confirm that a 19-year-old Huddersfield man has been arrested in connection with this incident. A dog has also been seized.
"The man was questioned and released on bail until April 23, pending further inquiries."
