A MAN is in hospital after he was stabbed in Birkby.

Now police have urged anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Norman Park area yesterday teatime to contact them immediately.

The 29-year-old suffered stab wounds to both legs and it is understood he managed to make his way back to his Fartown home after he was attacked.

Police have confirmed the man is at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: “We would appeal for anyone who saw anything in the area that can help the inquiry to come forward.’’

Police are concentrating on the Norman Road area.
