A MAN has been remanded in custody for breaching bail conditions.

Wilfred Charles, 57, appeared before magistrates in Huddersfield yesterday.

Charles, of Armitage Street, Primrose Hill, admitted breaching bail conditions not to contact directly or indirectly his ex-partner.

The court heard Charles was phoned by his ex partner on June 17 and asked to visit her.

He agreed and when he arrived he collected some clothes which had been bagged up and left.

He admitted he knew it was against his bail conditions, which had been in force since December last year.

Magistrates refused bail and Charles will next appear at Leeds Crown Court accused of actual bodily harm.

He denies the offence, which is alleged to have occurred on December 25 last year.
