A 67-year-old man was attacked and robbed in a temple. He had withdrawn money from a bank in Huddersfield town centre then went to the toilets at the Sikh Temple, Prospect Street, at about noon yesterday. Police believe the robber had followed him. He punched and kicked the victim in the toilets and stole the cash. The victim suffered cuts and bruises. The robber fled down Manchester Road towards Longroyd Bridge and crossed Hudders- field Narrow Canal, near Earnshaws motorcycles. He was described as a mixed race African-Caribbean man, aged between 27 and 34, just over 6ft, with short or balding hair and he wore glasses. He wore a red and black T-shirt and blue jeans.
