A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Milnsbridge on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Armitage Road just before noon following reports that a 21-year-old man had been stabbed in the neck.

Prior to the incident there were reports that there had been some kind of party or small gathering at a terraced house on the street where an argument broke out.

The dispute spilled out into the street and the victim suffered puncture wounds to his neck.

Police have declined to say what kind of weapon was used.

The man, who was covered in blood, was flown by Yorkshire Air Ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary where he is recovering from injuries were are not life-threatening.
