POLICE investigating an attempted abduction of a 14-year-old girl have arrested a man.

POLICE investigating an attempted abduction of a 14-year-old girl have arrested a man.

The girl was walking near Chain Bar at Cleckheaton – where the M62 meets the M606 to Bradford – at 11.20am on Thursday, October 4, when a man allegedly tried to drag her into the back of a van.

She was walking along Mill Carr Hill Road in the Lower Woodlands area towards the M606 bridge when the incident happened.

A 24-year-old Bradford man was later arrested.

He was later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
