A man was attacked for smoking an e-cigarette prior to a Meatloaf tribute concert in Holmfirth.
The assault happened between 10.45pm and 11pm on Friday, 12 February, at The Picturedrome in Victoria Street but police have just released details.
The 24-year-old victim was smoking an e-cigarette prior to the assault and police say another man has apparently taken exception to that.
The victim suffered a broken bone in one of his hands.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 40s, around 5ft 11ins tall, of medium/muscly build with brown curly hair and a gap in his teeth.
He was wearing a yellow and blue polo shirt and blue jeans.
Det Con Oliver Coates, of Kirklees District CID, said: “We are appealing for anyone who has been in the venue or in the vicinity following the concert who has seen a man matching the suspect’s description or an altercation involving two men.
“There was a Meatloaf tribute act playing that night which might help jog people’s memory.
“Anyone with information is asked to please call Kirklees District CID via 101.”
