A MAN aged 61 suffered serious facial injuries in a street attack.

He is thought to have suffered a broken jaw after an argument and scuffle in Dreamer's Bar on Bradford Road, Hillhouse, continued on a nearby street early on Saturday evening.

The victim, who lives in Hillhouse, is in a stable condition in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Another man, aged 25 and from Deighton, is also in the Infirmary with a facial injury.

Police have arrested a 20-year-old Deighton man in connection with the incident.

He was being questioned at Huddersfield police station today.

Officers are also seeking a man in his mid 20s.

The 61-year-old man was found injured on Clara Street, just round the corner from Dreamer's Bar.

The road was sealed off while forensics experts worked at the scene.
