A MAN appeared in court charged with racially aggravated assault of two police officers.
Huddersfield magistrates heard that Nigel Lashington walked into the Westbourne Road, Marsh, branch KFC and verbally abused people in there who were Polish.
Prosecutor Alex Johnson said police were called, but as two officers arrested him the 44-year-old called them ‘white pigs’ and spat at them.
Lashington, of Birchencliffe, is charged with four offences relating to racially aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
The case was adjourned until May 28 for further reports.
Lashington was granted unconditional bail.
