A MAN has appeared in court facing seven charges of drugs possession following a police raid on student flats.

Sam Donohue, 31, appeared before Huddersfield magistrates who were told that officers searched the Snow Island complex at Kingsmill Lane, Moldgreen, in the early hours of July 25.

In one of the flats they found a clear plastic bag of white powder and tubes of drugs on the floor and desk.

Police also discovered a beer can in a cupboard containing amphetamine.

The estimated street value of the class B drug was between £2,000 and £7,800.

Other drugs found were 47 tablets of morphine and oxycodone, both class A drugs.

There were three tablets of diazepam and 2.5 tablets of buprenorphine.

Other drugs found were 5.66grms of ketamine and 0.763 grms of MDPV.

Donohue, of Beswick Cottages, Grains Road, Oldham, will next appear before the court on December 16 when his case will be committed to crown court.
