A MAN was left badly shocked after a car crash at Grange Moor.

An MX5 sports car and a Citroen Picasso collided on Briestfield Road near the Shoulder Of Mutton pub at around 6.10pm yesterday.

The man was still in the sports car when firefighters arrived from Skelmanthorpe and Dewsbury.

He was badly shocked and firefighters helped paramedics to lift him from the car. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Watch Manager Richard Meakin, from Skelmanthorpe fire station, said: "The lady from the Picasso had got out and was walking about.

"The man in the car was badly shaken, but there were no serious injuries."
