A man has been injured in a fall on a building site in Dewsbury.
The man was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital with serious injuries this afternoon.
Fire crews, an ambulance and Yorkshire Ambulance Service’s Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were called to the site in Caledonian Road, Saville Town, at 12.26pm.
It believed the man fell whilst working on scaffolding on the second floor of the construction site.
He is understood to have suffered arm injuries.
Witnesses told how a man appeared to be lowered to the ground from the scaffolding by rescuers
Fire crews from Dewsbury were called to the premises in Caledonian Road to use lifting gear but were not needed.
