A motorist has taken a picture of the shocking moment a man was seen reading a book to his chilldren while DRIVING on the M62.

The driver was seen holding up the children’s book on the motorway during the morning rush hour on Thursday.

A horrified passenger saw the driver of another car near junction nine in Warrington at 8.30am and believes he was reading the book to three children.

The passenger, who did not give her name, said: “It was ridiculous. He hadn’t been looking at the road for a good five minutes.

“My partner was driving, he looked out of the rear window mirrors and I glanced over then saw him. There were three kids. There was a child seat so they were quite young.

“I couldn’t believe it. He was right behind us, his attention was on the book not the road. We were worried he would go into us.”

Cheshire Police have been contacted by the Examiner for a comment.
