A MAN has been badly hurt in a stabbing at Oakes.
Police sealed off a flat at the top of Wellington Street shortly after 6am today.
A young man was rushed to HRI for emergency treatment.
Lindley Court Flats, where the drama happened, are in the former Oakes Junior School opposite Oakes Baptist Church where a lone policeman stood guard outside this morning and police tape sealed off the entrance.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The inquiry is in its very early stages."
The school shut in 1974 when a new one was built at Lindley next to Lindley Infants School.
It then became an old people's home for many years.
