Two young Huddersfield men were left badly shaken after a thief with Dope printed on his baseball cap threatened to ‘rip’ their jaws off before demanding their phones.

The chilling incident took place on Alder Street at 8pm on Friday evening, when the victims aged 20 and 21 were approached by the robber.

He then threatened to stab them unless they handed over their Iphone 5 and blue Google Nexus mobile phones before escaping on a bicycle.

He is in his mid 20s, around 6ft tall, with facial stubble and he was drinking from a bottle of brandy.

Police have launched a hunt to find the man.

He was wearing distinctive clothing which included a blue Adidas zip up top with three red stripes on the sleeves and a grey baseball cap, which had the word dope and a flat peak with a gold circle and a black cannabis leaf.

Any witnesses or anyone who can identify the suspect should call Huddersfield CID on 101.
