A man has been arrested after a knife attack which left a man with neck wounds.

West Yorkshire Police were called to Beck Road in Hillhouse at 6.15pm on Friday night where they said a man had suffered neck and arm wounds.

The attack is believed to have followed a heated argument between two men.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated in hospital before being released.

Det Insp Stef Wise, of Huddersfield CID, said: “A man has been arrested under a section 18 assault and remains in custody.

“We have had a lot of witnesses to the incident but if anyone has any specific information they can contact us.”
