Police searching for a missing Mirfield man have found a man’s body.
West Yorkshire Police has confirmed that the National Police Air Service found the body of an adult male on Black Hill in the Peak District at just before 7pm last night.
A formal identification will take place to identify the man and enquiries remain ongoing.
The family of John Barnes, 92, from Mirfield, have been informed.
Mr Barnes had last spoke to his family on the evening of Saturday, July 4 when he said he was going hill walking in the area between Holme Moss and Glossop.
He had not been seen since.
