The Queen was distributing Maundy Money to 80 men and 80 women in an ancient service today ahead of her 80th birthday next week. She was attending the traditional Easter Week ceremony in Guildford, Surrey, with the Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen was handing out two purses to 160 selected pensioners. The first, a white one, contains 80p in Maundy coins, the second, which is red, holds a £5 coin and a 50p coin.
