LONG service and good conduct medals are to be awarded to firefighters who serve in Kirklees.
They will be presented at a special civic ceremony at the West Yorkshire Fire Service HQ next Saturday.
Recipients include:
* Leading Firefighter David Jones, of Meltham.
* Sub officer David Prescott, who has served in Brighouse and Dewsbury and is now a training centre instructor based at Birkenshaw.
* Sub-officer Andrew Copley, who now works at Castleford but has been based at Holmfirth.
The medal was created in 1954 and is granted only to uniformed staff with 20 years' exemplary service.
