PEOPLE will have their chance to shape the future of Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park at a meeting tomorrow.

The meeting, organised by the Friends of Greenhead Park group, will give the public the chance to discuss how Kirklees Council’s £5m restoration grant will affect the park.

The meeting will be in the maintenance depot training room by the putting green from 11am to 12.30pm.

Refreshments will be provided.

Work on the park is expected to start next September and include renovation of the listed conservatory and footpaths, together with a new lake, restaurant and play area.

Kirklees received an official application to re-excavate some parts and build terraces and earth mounding around the events space and existing play area.

The council will decide on the application from next month.
