A MAN who hurled racist abuse at police has been ordered to stay indoors.
Dax Moran, 25, of Moorland Rise, Meltham, had appeared before Kirklees magistrates.
He admitted two charges of racially-aggravated disorderly behaviour, threatening behaviour and assaulting a constable.
The incident was at Slaithwaite pub The Star Inn on April 14.
Police were called to an incident there and drunk Moran was aggressive towards them.
He made comments about having a machine gun in his pocket and spat in the face of one of the officers.
He also threatened to report the police to the Examiner and made racist comments.
Magistrates sentenced him to a curfew for eight weeks. They also ordered him to pay £150 compensation to the police officers as well as £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.
