Jennifer Norcliffe is a second year PhD student at Durham University studying medicinal chemistry and drug design.

She attended Parliament to present her science to a range of politicians and a panel of scientific experts, as part of the SET for Britain biological and biomedical sciences event.

Jennifer’s display was presented alongside that of dozens of other scientists in the only national event of its kind.

Jennifer was shortlisted from hundreds of applicants.

Colne Valley Conservative MP Jason McCartney supported Jennifer by attending the event.

He said: “It was an honour to meet a local postgraduate student who is doing important scientific research that could potentially transform and save millions of lives around the world.”
