UNIVERSITY postgraduate student Michael Flaherty is asking the question: Can delivery services cope with the growth of home shopping?

He wants answers for a project paid for by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

Examiner readers are being urged to help Michael by telling him of their experiences.

Michael, who lives at Salendine Nook, said transport and logistics operators were facing great challenges.

He added: "Home shopping is now perceived as commonplace. But if it is to flourish on the scale predicted, then cost-effective and reliable deliveries are prerequisites."

He is carrying out his research at Leeds University.
