VOLUNTEERS are needed to help clear litter from the River Colne in Huddersfield.

The Environmental Alliance will carry out the work on Saturday, March 19, from 10am until around 2pm, not tomorrow as stated in Wednesday’s Examiner.

They will work on the footpath along the Milnsbridge/Paddock riverside.

Volunteers can join them at 10am for the clean-up which is expected to last until 2pm, but people can join for whatever time can make.

Safety equipment is provided but volunteers need to wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes.

Meet organisers at 10am at the end of Stoney Battery Road.
