Huddersfield Town superfan Mark Harrison has spent over a year recreating a digital version of his favourite stadium.

And he’s still hard at work developing the project, using Minecraft.

But the Moldgreen dad insists there’s plenty more work to do.

His latest 3D model of the John Smith’s Stadium, created using the popular video game, includes sections of the surrounding area such as the River Colne, the Odeon cinema and the St Andrew’s Road entrance to the complex.

The digital replica, which includes a giant statue of Town midfielder Jacob Butterfield, began as a gift to his daughter Jamie-Lee.

But since Jamie-Lee started high school, she’s lost interest. Not so her dad.

Mark, 41, said: “She thinks it’s good but she’s getting older and she thinks it’s boring!

“I still enjoy doing it.

“There’s still lots to do. I’ve not finished the concourse.”

Mark added: “Once I get to do Kilner Bank I think I’ll leave it at that.”

It’s got a bit out of hand,” Mark admitted.

“I’m obsessed with the details of the ground. I’m not just doing the outside but the inside and all the concourses and the car parks.

“I’ve been doing it for about four months and time just seems to fly by.

“I was into X-Box before this but this is something different to shoot ‘em ups and typical games.”
